OUR BARBERS

Jason, Owner
Aged 30, born and bred in France, I have a total of 12 years experience in the hairdressing industry and hold the title of Barbercraft NZ Master Section Shave Winner 2017.
I love what I do and after completing 4 years of hairdressing studies, 4 years of salon experience, 2 years of freelance work as a barber, and 2 years working in a barbershop, I finally had the opportunity to create my own unique French inspired shop. The French Barber is a professional and warm environment that I guarantee you will leave smiling and feeling confident that you have had the highest quality grooming experience.

Jamie, Salon Manager
Born in England and bred in Nelson, I have 2 years of experience in the Barbering Industry.
I was introduced to Barbering by a Frenchman, as traditional as they come. The French foundation of my barbering knowledge has definitely shaped the barber I am today - professional and attentive. I look forward to collaborating with you in an enjoyable experience at The French Barber.

Allan, Salon Manager
Born in South America, I grew up in France where I completed my hairdressing certificate. I then head off to Australia where I started my career in barbering.
I really love what I do as it allows me to meet new people and continuously improve myself. The great part is that it also allows me to work and travel. It really is more of a passion then a job, and I look forward to sharing it with you.

Kevin, Men's Stylist
Born and bred in Argentina, I have been traveling around the world for two years. I am a professional Hairdresser with 6 years of experience in the industry and almost 2 years of experience in barbering. I decided to combine my passion for traveling and barbering so that I could have a lifestyle that allows me to keep developing my career while being able to explore the world and meet the locals.
Come in and see me to enjoy a coffee and a chat - the haircut is included.

Samy, Men's Stylist
Hi, Samy here! Qualified in France, I learnt the barbering trade from the Parisian master of the traditional French shave and scissor cut. I then worked for Sébastien Paco at Gentleman and Gentleman 1919, the best men's hair salons in France. In addition to this, I have also worked as a barber on the street providing haircuts to the homeless.
I'm very happy to be here in New Zealand!
